Sports Vision

Many studies show that professional athletes have much better visual skills than non-athletes. Tests conducted on athletes reveal that they often have greater depth perception or better hand-eye coordination, as well as many other excellent visual skills. They often have a finely tuned visual system which helps them learn to anticipate and respond more quickly to complex visual conditions.

Some of the visually related abilities that you use during a sports event are concentration, balance, accuracy and co-ordination. The visual process involves many sophisticated and subtle links between the brain, eyes and muscles. By improving the flexibility, stamina and fine tuning of your visual system, it can also provide you with that extra split-second timing you need to truly excel at your sporting activity. Visual skills can be trained and enhanced through visual therapy.

We practice Sports Vision and treat the majority of our referrals by means of in-office therapy or group therapy at your schools, in order to improve not only the flexibility, but also the sustainability of an individual's entire visual system.
